OPPI Oak Ridges District Leadership Team recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of women in planning.

Join the Oak Ridges District Planners from across the regions of Durham, Peel and York as they celebrate International Women’s Day on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023 (12pm-1pm).

This virtual event aims to raise the profile of women in planning in the Oak Ridges District and beyond to focus on their professional journey including their experience as woman in planning, navigating boundaries, challenges, work-life balance, and managing self-care through it all.

You are invited to take part in a peer-to-peer conversation that promotes the professional growth of women in planning and advocates for equitable treatment and advancement of women and women-identifying planners at all stages of their careers.

Our panel of speakers are amazing women whose expertise expands possibilities, challenges the status quo, and provides inspiration for others. Our speakers include:

  • Dana Anderson, Partner, MHBC Planning Urban Design & Landscape Architecture
  • Lesley Pavan, former Director of Development and Design, City of Mississauga
