This two-part virtual workshop, facilitated by Brian Brophey, LL.B. and former OPPI Registrar, will explore ethics and professionalism in the context of planning, and covers topics such as professional regulation, complaints and discipline, the Professional Code of Practice, and conflicts of interest. The workshop will also include the opportunity for participants to work through and discuss specific ethical scenarios.


Facilitator: Brian Brophey, LL.B. and former OPPI Registrar 

Brian Brophey studied philosophy and English at Trinity College, University of Toronto, and holds a law degree from the University of British Columbia. He worked for almost 40 years at government agencies and professional regulatory bodies. Of most relevance to this course, he has been the Discipline Case Coordinator at the Ontario College of Pharmacists, and the Registrar and Membership Director at the Ontario Professional Planners Institute, and a roster member of the Discipline Committee and the Fitness to Practice Committee at the Ontario College of Teachers.
