Kristin McCartney, CHRP, is the Director of People & Culture at J.L. Richards & Associates

Kristin McCartney, CHRP, Director of People & Culture, J.L. Richards & Associates

With more than 15 years of experience in human resources, Kristin specializes in recruitment and selection, compensation management, leadership consulting, and strategic HR innovation in professional services firms. She has led the development of numerous initiatives to support talent and workplace culture, including a formal career mentorship program, wellness campaigns, and leadership development programming. Kristin is the co-founder and current co-chair of J.L. Richards & Associates’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. In this role, she has championed new programs to advance equity-deserving groups, with a particular focus on women’s issues in a historically male-dominated field. She also serves on a regulatory committee for the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), where she contributes to the development of exam material for new HR professionals, bringing a forward-looking perspective on emerging laws and trends in the profession. Kristin is a founding member of the HERizon Project—a community of practice for HR professionals co-creating tools and resources to advance women’s workplace equity.
