WLO District is pleased to partner with the Niagara Bruce Trail Club to provide a hike through Woodend Conservation Area. Parking is located right at the entrance to Woodend CA. The hike will be lead by Alicia Atchison, Chair of the Niagara Club’s Biodiversity Committee, and Ellen Savoia, Vice-President of the Niagara Bruce Trail Club.
The hike will start from Woodend Conservation Area, located at 1 Taylor Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake. The hike will last approximately 1.5 hours and will be accessible to novice hikers. Please ensure you wear appropriate footwear and remember to bring items for your personal comfort including water, snacks, sunscreen and bug repellant.
Topics that will be discussed on the hike includes Bruce Trail Conservancy mission and strategic planning, easements and access, biodiversity, equity, and many more.
There is a parking lot at the entrance to Woodend Conservation Area (1 Taylor Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake).
